Candidates should know the RRB ALP Exam Eligibility Criteria.

They should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria as prescribed for the posts by the Railway Recruitment Board. Below given are the eligibility criteria which every candidate should fulfil failing which the candidates’ candidature will be rejected at any point of time.

  • Medical Fitness Test – Candidates should also pass the Medical Standard Test for the posts they have opted for. Candidates who fail in the medical test will not be eligible for any alternative posts.

How to apply RRB ALP Exam Online?

Applications should be filled and submitted ONLINE Only through RRB websites. Only one application per candidate is accepted if more than one application is submitted then such candidates’ application will be disqualified and debarred.

Examination Fee

Candidates applying for the posts should pay the prescribed fee as per the category mentioned below.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern/Stages of RRB ALP Exam

The exam is conducted in two stages and they are:
Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
Stage 2: Has two parts as mentioned below.
PART A – Computer Based Test (CBT)
PART B – Aptitude Test (Trade Syllabus)

Selection of RRB and Preferences for Posts.

The vacancies indicated by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) are provisional and may vary as per the requirement of the Railway administrations.
The RRBs publish updated vacancy table on their websites indicting the RRB wise vacancies against railways/production units and posts after the completion of first stage of CBT.

Candidates should choose only one RRB and preference of Railways and posts within the chosen RRB.

Once candidates choose a particular RRB/Railway Posts and submit, then the RRB Wise shortlisting of candidates for Second Stage CBT will be done and the number of candidates shortlisted will be 15 times the number of vacancies t be filled.

Candidates will be shortlisted purely based on the merit in the First Stage of CBT.

The candidates shortlisted in the second stage of the CBT will be intimated through the RRB websites as well as communicated individually through the mobile number and email ID provided by the candidates while filling the application form to download RRB ALP Admit card for appearing for the 2nd stage of the CBT.

Electronic Gadgets Banned inside the examination hall

Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, wrist watches or any other communication devices or pen/pencil inside the exam hall. In any candidates infringe this instruction in such case the candidates’ application may be rejected and legal action including debarment from future examination will be taken against such candidates.
