About SSC CHSL Exam

The Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and is commonly called as SSC CHS Examination. The examination is conducted every year by the Commission to recruit candidates in various Departments/Organizations/Ministries of the Government of India.

Some of the posts to which candidates are recruited through the SSC-CHSL Examination (10+2 educational qualification) are as given below.

  • Court Clerk
  • Data Entry Operator
  • Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)
  • Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA)

The SSC CHSL exam is conducted in 3 Tiers by the SSC. The SSC CHSL Tier I is an online computer based exam. The Tier II of the CHSL Exam is a descriptive paper conducted in offline mode and the final stage of the exam i.e. the Tier III is Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test conducted wherever applicable.
The entire process of registration and communication happens online through the official website of SSC CHSL. Candidates must qualify each stage of the SSC CHSL exam to proceed to the next one, before being finally selected.

  8. Fee Detail
    • The application fee is INR 100.
    • All women candidates and candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Ex-Servicemen, and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from application fee and also eligible for reservation.
